More Than an Event – A Statement of Who We Are
At Reillys, empowering women in the workplace isn’t just something we support it’s something we live every day. With 60% of our team being women, including all four leadership roles outside the executive team, and both our CEO and COO proudly female, the heartbeat of our business is driven by strong female leadership. But we also know that true progress and inclusivity doesn’t come from one gender alone. It’s about men and women uniting, standing side by side, and working together to create lasting, meaningful change.
Our team work seamlessly together, proving that real power lies in collaboration — not division. That’s why, when the opportunity arose to co-host the Southern Property Group’s International Women’s Day Luncheon 2025 with Trinity Fitout and Construction, we knew this was more than just an event for us. It was a chance to align with a cause that reflects our core values, and take action to accelerate progress for everyone in our industry.
A Day That Moved Us Forward
The luncheon sold out in under three weeks, welcoming 170 construction professionals for a day of powerful conversation, connection, and purpose. Our theme, “Celebrating Progress & Accelerating Action to Level the Playing Field,” couldn’t have been more fitting.
From the dynamic energy of host Ruan Sims, to the keynote panel featuring Allana Ferguson and Emma Tonegato OAM, we explored how female athletes have driven change in traditionally male-dominated spaces and how we can mirror that in construction. Then, the SPG Construction Insights Panel brought it home, with our own David Reilly, alongside Cassandra Lawry, John Basilisco, and Vicki Van Dijk, diving into what it really takes to create inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.
“Great organisation by all who participated. The speakers were very inspiring as was the host Ruan. Great event to promote women’s talents and skills in sport and the construction industry.” — Attendee Feedback
The key takeaway? Inclusion isn’t a quota… it’s a culture. One where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed, regardless of gender.
This Is Just the Beginning
“The 2025 SPG IWD Luncheon was a truly outstanding event! Engaging speakers, seamless organisation, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere. Inspiring and empowering — I rated it 10/10.” — Attendee Feedback
For us, this event wasn’t a moment, it’s part of an ongoing movement. One we’re proud to be part of, and one we’re committed to accelerating, not just once a year, but every single day. At Reillys, progress means unity, and we believe men and women coming together is what will truly shape the future of our industry.
We’re not just talking about change… we’re living it.
